Subjected to horror at an extremely young age, Johnny has stayed loyal to the genre of films that practically raised him. From Joe Bob’s Monstervision to USA Up All Night, he’s seen the good, the bad, and the sometimes unfortunate side of horror.
Here are some of Johnny’s favorite movies:
- A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)
- The Exorcist (1973)
- The Wicker Man (1973)
- The Abominable Dr. Phibes (1971)
- Halloween (1978)
- Maniac (1980)
- The Mutilator (1985)
- The Dorm That Dripped Blood (1982)
- Tenebre (1982)
- Hellraiser (1987)
- The Prowler (1981)
- The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974)
- Prince of Darkness (1987)
- Night of the Demons (1988)
- The Burning (1981)
- Blood on the Highway (2008)
- Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon (2006)
- Session 9 (2001)
- Cheerleader Camp (1988)

Hi Johnny! I found your podcast through Corpsecast. I follow you and the Fearshop podcast and really enjoy the time everyone puts into those. I am loving Krueger Nation and have tried to listen to every episode thus far.
You had a small rant on Alexander Aja and really made some good points. I was wondering what your thoughts are on the proposed “Horns” film that Aja is directing? This is the adaptation of Joe Hill’s novel and stars Daniel Radcliffe. It seems once again he is following “blue prints” instead of something original. How do you feel about that?
Sorry it took so long to get back with you! I had surgery, & layed low for quite a while recently. I’d love to see Aja do something sorta original, like Horns! He may be one of the greatest horror directors, who’s just not expressing his full potential & we’d never know until he comes back around to original ideas. Thanks for listening, & expect a Krueger Nation resurrection in the near future!
I don’t know if my last message went through or not, but I’d like you to review my newest film, “A Chance in Hell.” Below is a link to the trailer.
